Hey Friends! It’s been a few weeks since my last blog post, and I wanted to let all of you know what’s been going on in my life, because this really isn’t like me to go so long without posting! I have missed interacting with all of you, and I can’t wait for you to read this update, and for me to get back into the swing of posting regularly.
For me to fully explain why I haven’t been posting, I must give a two-part answer. As most of you know, I am a full-time ESL teacher at an elementary school, and school started back August 7 for me. The beginning of the school year is always hectic. I knew that it would be this way, and I had meant to schedule some posts in advance for the first few weeks of August, but that never happened.
This leads me to part two of why I’ve not been posting, and it is that I have been extremely tired, because Miguel and I just found out that I AM PREGNANT!!! We are SOOOOO excited and so thankful that God has chosen to bless us with another child!! This will be our fourth baby in four years… (Now you can imagine why I am so tired!!!! Ha!)
My due date is April 5. This will be our first spring time baby, as our other babies were born in December, February, and June. My birthday is April 21, but I hope that I don’t go that far. Right now, I am nine weeks pregnant, and other than being very, very tired most of the time, I feel great!! No morning sickness at all, praise God!
At my next OB appointment, I will have the Harmony blood test, which will screen for chromosomal disorders, AND will be able to tell us the gender of our baby!! Isn’t that amazing that we can now find out at 10 weeks pregnant the gender of our baby?!? I had this test done with my last baby, and we were so thrilled to find out that we were having our first boy after two girls. This time, my hubby is hoping for a girl and I am hoping for a boy. But we will all be so thankful no matter boy or girl!
My other kids are excited too, especially my three year old daughter Haddie. She talks about the baby all the time, and she says that she wants a girl, and she wants to name her Haddie. We told her that we can’t name the baby Haddie, because her name is Haddie, and that would be too confusing. She said, “No, I’m big Haddie, and this is little Haddie.” How can you argue with that?
I have missed you all and I hope that this month’s content on Start Homemaking will bless you and inspire you. Have a great Labor Day weekend with your loved ones!
