Summer is here, and I have been waiting to get started on my ever-growing book list for quite some time. I had to narrow down what I was going to focus on this summer. I am really trying to focus on personal growth this summer– I want to read books that will help me in the areas of leading my family, eating healthy, managing my home, and finances. All of these areas in which I am trying to grow are also topics which I blog about! I am so glad to grow alongside my readers and to be held accountable by my readers in accomplishing my goals!
I have always been an avid reader, ever since I was in elementary school. Now that I have three small children, I find it a lot more difficult to find time to read, and making reading lists helps me to stay on track with my goals in the books that I want to finish. I try to include books on a diversity of topics in which I am currently interested. The one thing not found on my summer book list this year is fiction, which is rare, because I normally include at least one fiction book. As summer is approaching, these are the books on my summer reading list:
1.) Developing the Leader Within You, By John C. Maxwell (currently reading)
2.) The Narnian, by Alan Jacobs
3.) Dave Ramsey’s Complete Guide to Money, by Dave Ramsey
4.) Wheat Belly, by William Davis, MD
5.) When I Don’t Desire God, by John Piper
6.) Boundaries With Kids, by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend
7.) The Most Important Place on Earth, by Robert Wolgemuth
8.) Smart Organizing, by Sandra Felton
What books are on YOUR summer reading list? What are your favorite books that have helped you to grow personally?
