What does homemaking and faith have in common? The answer is Jesus.
Jesus is the Author and Perfector of my faith, and as a Christ-follower, I am striving to make my home a place where I can display Jesus and his love in a million different ways.
What do I mean by homemaking? Isn’t that for stay-at-home-moms who actually have time to cook healthy, fancy meals and create Pinterest projects all day?
You might be surprised when I say no. I’m a mom who also works outside the home. I struggle just like everyone else in this crazy constant demand of running a household.
If you live somewhere, then you are a homemaker! Maybe you never knew that about yourself. All of us have varying degrees of responsibility, based on the season in life that we are currently in. Scripture says, “Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) You have the opportunity today and every day to glorify God by making your home a place that resonates his presence and his love.
This is not going to look the same for everyone. But when we allow ourselves to dream, God will show us how it is meant to look for each of us. We can help each other achieve our goals. I hope that I can help each of my readers to overcome whatever doubts or insecurities they have as homemakers, and that together we can share our ideas to help each other!
The meal-planning, cooking, cleaning, childcare, wellness, hospitality, routines, traditions, budgeting, planning, relationships, shopping, and many other things are all pieces of the beautiful mosaic that is our home. No matter where we are in life, what we do at home counts.

Living paycheck to paycheck is the pits. And most of us have been there—I know my husband and I have. It feels unescapable. You feel completely trapped in a life without purpose.
